Presentation Skills Seminar Coaching Program

Presentation and personal presence skills are essential for those who want to succeed and advance in their career. People who can present in front of an audience and influence their audience to their way of thinking will quickly advance in their company. They will outpace those with greater technical knowledge but who lack good presentation skills.

Self-development expert Brian Tracy says, “Your ability to communicate with others will account for fully 85% of your success in your business and in your life.” Would you improve your presentation skills if you knew there was an 85% chance it would add to your career? Of course, you would!

I have helped hundreds of people improve their presentation skills, communication and personal presence. I don’t give you “cookie cutter” presentation skills instruction that can you read in a book. I customize my presentation skills coaching to fit your personal needs. Each presentation skills coaching service is customized for each person’s needs using a unique mechanism to ensure that I know the attendees’ needs even before they set foot in the training room.

As a practicing engineer, I know a technical professional's proclivity is to work with numbers, graphs, and spreadsheets. However, as Brian Tracy says above, this accounts for only 15% of your success in business and in your life. Sitting at your desk and doing your job every day while allowing you to keep your job, only counts for 15% of your advancement. You must get up from your desk and communicate with others and convince them to your way of thinking.

Zig Ziglar said, “You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” And the only way to get others to get what they want is to communicate with them. Improving your presentation skills is like mining a vein of pure gold.

If you want to command the room when you speak, if you want to speak with confidence and ease, if you want to influence your audience, I can help you.

In my lifetime of public speaking as a U.S. Air Force officer, engineer, college adjunct professor, and entrepreneur, I have honed my presentation skills and my ability to help others improve their presentation skills, communication, and personal presence. I have evaluated and provided constructive and actionable feedback for hundreds of speakers. Through methods borrowed from my time as a systems engineer, I determine the in-depth requirements of clients and then design a customized presentation skills program for the client. In 2002, Toastmasters International awarded me the highest recognition in Toastmasters, the Distinguished Toastmasters Award for outstanding public speaking and leadership. A large part of this recognition was providing other speakers feedback on what went right in their speeches, what they needed to improve, and how to improve it.

All of my programs are customized to the unique requirements of my clients. The participants will walk away with the majority or all of the below presentation skills:

Option 1: Good

This half-day or full-day session covers all the basics of good public speaking. It is fast-paced with a good amount of interaction, discussion, and exercises. There will be speeches by a few participants with feedback provided. The participants learn the basics of good public speaking through my presentations, observing other speakers, and hearing my and other participants’ feedback. This half-day or full-day session works best with a maximum of 25 participants.

Option 2: Better

This option has groups of 4 - 6 people at any one time (one session per group). This provides more individual attention. Each group session lasts 3 - 3.5 hours: participants will be out of the office for not more than 3.5 hours. All participants present previously prepare 7 – 10-minute speeches. After each speech, there will be positive evaluations by other participants including positive aspects and areas for improvement. I will also provide speech evaluation including the positive aspects, areas for improvement, and how to make the improvements in the participant’s speech. Participants will see and hear immediate feedback after their speech. Participants will then re-deliver the parts of their speeches that need improvement. All participant speeches will be video recorded. Every participant receives a course handout and follow-up e-mail with the key points from me and each participant’s feedback with actions to take to remedy the areas of improvement. Multiple groups can be accommodated in the 3.5-hour session (one 3.5-hour session per group) over a 2 – 3-day period

What People are saying about Frank DiBartolomeo:

“If you want a speaking coach, who is known as the “coach’s coach,” Frank DiBartolomeo is your choice. I have been a professional speaker for over 30 years and have met hundreds of speaking coaches and trainers. Frank is one of the best. He specializes in helping technical professionals including engineers and scientists inspire, motivate, and influence their customers, colleagues, and stakeholders by improving their presentation skills, communication, and personal presence. His keynotes, workshops, and professional development programs are always a hit. I have referred him and highly recommend that you do too.”

Arnold Sanow, MBA, CSP (certified speaking professional), speaker, trainer, coach, and author of “Present with Power, Punch and Pizzazz”

"I first met Frank DiBartolomeo at a National Speakers Association (NSA) Washington DC Chapter Meeting. Over the years, I have been impressed by his drive and determination to become a powerful public speaker and, at the same time, coach others how to speak effectively. His lifetime of public speaking as a U.S. Air Force officer, engineer, and college adjunct professor has given him the skills and experience to start his own speaking business – DiBartolomeo Consulting International (DCI). I appreciate DCI’s mantra, “Helping Technical Professionals Improve Their Presentation Skills, Communication, and Personal Presence” and believe there are many people who can benefit from his coaching and guidance."

Allison Shapira, Founder/CEO of Global Public Speaking, author of Speak with Impact: How to Command the Room and Influence Others, and adjunct lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School

“As the Dean of the Speaker Academy of the National Speakers Association, Washington, DC (NSA-DC), for several years, I have had the opportunity to work with Frank DiBartolomeo as a Candidate of the Academy and then a Graduate of the Academy. During that time, he displayed extensive public speaking and coaching skills. It became quickly obvious during his Speaker Academy tenure that not only is he a very sophisticated speaker in his own right, he also can help others become better public speakers quickly. His graduation spotlight speech was a brilliant display of the power of speaking. Put yourself on the speaking fast track. Get Frank to coach you to meet your public speaking goals and beyond!”

Darlene Carver, Dean, Speaker Academy, National Speakers Association, Washington, DC Chapter

“DCI made me a hit! I was asked to be a master of ceremonies at a banquet of 300 guests. DCI gave me the expert instruction I needed to overcome my fear of public speaking in front of all those people. As one banquet guest said to me afterward, “You hit it out of the park!” If it hadn’t been for DCI, I would never have hit a “home run” at the banquet.”
